Cuban Missile Crisis! Can you avoid nuclear armageddon?
A whole class role-play exercise, set during the the tense days of the crisis. Students are divided into two teams - the USA and USSR, and each plays a specific role as an advisor to the goverment from a military, political, diplomatic or intelligence point of view. They discuss how to react to each development as the crisis unfolds.

This is a really good game, but the students in my year 11 had some trouble understanding how to think about it from the point of view of the advisors.
