This resource features a lesson in which GCSE history students collect information on the American economy in the 1950s. Students work through key information and record it in a 'double-bubble' diagram which encourages them to compare 1950s affluence with the prosperity of the 1920s - this facilitates revision of the Boom, and a discussion of the extent to which the 20s and 50s were comparable for Americans.

This resource was planned for AQA's GCSE History: America - Opportunity and Inequality: 1920–1973.
