What was the Civil Rights Movement?
Students use their own card sorting strategies to reveal various themes and turning points which give a broad overview of the movement. Some of the events included on the cards are Rosa Parks' actions, the Freedom Rides, the founding of the NAACP, Brown v. Topeka and the events surrounding the integration of Little Rock high school. A task sheet is included to help structure the activity.
