Gravity and weight

A resource for the KS3 forces unit which guides students through the relationship between mass, weight and gravity. There are five activities in total which could be used together or pick and mix the most suitable for your lesson.

The first two activities, each begins with a question which is a prompt for a class discussion to gather students ideas follow up with the link to a short video clip that explores the original question. There are then slides which summarise the main ideas.

The third task is a quick quiz with eight questions - perfect to use with mini-whiteboards.

There is a plenary activity with an extension that gives students an opportunity to use the weight equation, all answers are included.
