Four fun word puzzles for revising key terms and facts about the particle model of matter. They're also great for improving students' spelling.

Puzzle 1 is a word fill-in / clueless crossword about solids, liquids and gases. Students complete the grid using keywords from a list of facts. In puzzle 2, students match keywords about states of matter to the correct clues. Puzzle 3 is a spiral crossword on particles and their behaviour, and puzzle 4 is a code breaker about changes of state.

These puzzles were written to revise unit 3.5.1 of the AQA KS3 science syllabus, but they could be used for revision of the particle module on any KS3 science specification.
