Spelling
Teaching spelling at KS3 or KS4? With a range of editable spelling resources, word games, PowerPoints and worksheets, help students to master the basics and learn a range of spelling rules so that they can become more confident (and accurate) spellers.
Given the challenges of the English spelling system and National Curriculum requirements, students need regular practice to understand spelling patterns and commonly confused spellings, plurals and homophones. Try our fun spelling games, like Spelling battleships or the popular Homophone maze to make their learning fun and memorable.
To develop learners’ spelling skills, you’ll find KS3 and GCSE spelling lists for quick diagnostic assessements or spelling tests, alongside fun spelling activities and homophone games.
Our printable graphic organiser template can help students to memorise the spellings of new words by learning about word families, root words, prefixes and suffixes. You’ll also find helpful CPD teaching resources, such as 10 evidence-based strategies for teaching spelling so you can consider how best to teach spelling to learners.
