Climate change
Explore the pressing issue of climate change and global warming with your KS3 classes, using this collection of tried and tested teaching resources.
You'll find classroom activities on the causes of climate change and the greenhouse effect. Resources also look at the evidence for climate change, including data showing the links between increasing greenhouse gas emissions, human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, and rising global temperatures.
Classroom activities on the effects of climate change include case studies exploring the impacts of sea level rise and activities to compare the impacts of climate change at a regional, national and global level. You’ll also find lessons on prevention and mitigation, including a mock UN debate and activities for Car-free Day.
Looking for climate change resources for GCSE? Try our Weather hazards and climate change collection for GCSE lessons and revision activities on the causes, impacts, adaptation, prevention and mitigation of climate change as well as links to extreme weather.
