Can you identify these items of food from the clues?
- This food is creamy and tastes sweet. It is made from cream, sugar and fruit or chocolate. It is eaten very cold, usually in summer.
- This food is crunchy and it can be salty or sweet. It is often eaten in the cinema.
- This food is hard on the outside, but usually soft in the middle. Although quite bland on its own, it is very versatile and is used to make lots of sweet and savoury dishes. In the UK people eat it boiled for breakfast or fried, with bacon.
- This food is usually hard and crunchy, red or green in colour, and can be either sweet or sour, depending on the variety. It is often used it to make desserts such as pies, and it can also be used to make an alcoholic drink called cider.

I used this is for a group class of 11-year-olds who are B1/b2. They loved it as all children like to talk about food.

Thank you for your worksheet. i will be using it with a student who needs to practice describing taste and texture, and this has simplified my preparation as I can adapt it to use with one student. I agree with Dominique, lovely choice of words and structure.
