Director's notes: Act 5 Scene 1

Students imagine they are directing Lady Macbeth and the Doctor in Act 5 Scene 1. A copy of the scene is provided with questions and space for guided annotations. Students then develop their notes in to detailed paragraphs focusing on:

• How characters say their lines
• Their actions
• The costumes they are wearing
• Their expressions
• Where they stand on stage
• Props on stage
