Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde chapter summaries

Aimed at Year 10 students after reading the novella for the first time, students complete the cloze activity and select words from a selection of options in order to create useful summaries of each chapter.
This helpful revision and knowledge reinforcement resource is available in PowerPoint form as well as Word to give your greater flexibility for classroom delivery.

Chapter One: Story of the Door
- Mr Utterson, a lawyer, is introduced as having austere/extravagant/lavish taste.
- Mr Utterson and Mr Enfield take regular walks on Sundays and they regard them as ‘the chief ...................... of each week.’
- The mysterious door is described by Stevenson as welcoming/sinister/pleasant.
