A creative way to help students use coordinating conjunctions and semi colons. Students are given the beginning and ends of a variety of sentences, that they have to match up and insert the correct grammar or punctuation.
The sentences should be cut out along with the conjunction words and semi colons. Students can then complete the activities in pairs or in groups.

Really good at getting learners to understand that sentences need to be related for semi-colons. Takes around 20 mins including cutting time.
