A detailed resource that encourages students to analyse Shakespeare's language in detail, particularly his use of contrasts and oppositions in Romeo and Juliet. The activities ask students to look at extracts from the Prologue, Act 1 Scene 2 and Act 2 Scene 3 and answer questions about the language including oxymorons, imagery and positive/negative words.
