Students consider Tulip's character at the end of Chapter 8. There is a choice of two activities:
- a ranking activity where students choose adjectives to describe Tulip and find evidence to support their ideas
- a gap fill activity where students complete some sentences to show their comprehension and then match adjectives with evidence from the text.
