Le ménage
This engaging French resource on the topic of household chores is based on a YouTube song: Tâches ménagères blues. Students listen to the song to find the French translation of a variety of phrases on this topic. Visual support can be offered, as the YouTube clip includes French subtitles.
A starter activity is also provided, to get students to work out the topic for themselves. Working in groups with a series of gapped sentences, they must figure out the one word which could complete all the sentences (the answer is: ménage).
