Memory challenge: clothes
This 'trapdoor' or mind-reader activity will embed sentences about clothes, through repetition, and is great practice in reading aloud.
Before you start, choose one of the words from each of the clouds and note them in secret. Challenge the class to guess your chosen words.
Choose a student to start reading the text out loud and when they reach a cloud, they must guess which word you have chosen. If they guess correctly, encourage them to keep reading. If they are incorrect, they can choose another student to take over but students must start from the beginning each time a mistake is made. The student who is able to correctly read the whole text with your chosen words in one go is the winner.
Students can then play the game in pairs. The second slide could also be used for students to create their own version of the text.
