This resource consists of three worksheets for year 10 students to support study of the GCSE Edexcel unit on the American West (1835–95).

There is a separate worksheet on each of three periods: 1860–69, 1870–79 and 1880–89. In the first, students add events to a timeline, in the second they complete a gapped text with the key words provided and in the third they answer comprehension questions on a timeline of events.
