Interpretations
This resource introduces KS3 students to Anglo-Saxon resistance, 1070–71, focussing on the rebellion at Ely. Students begin by exploring a picture interpretation of Hereward the Wake, and then order the story of 1070–71 using a series of event cards. Students then these events into a storyboard. Students consolidate this knowledge by asking how convincing the opening interpretation was.
