This Spanish email describes school life in detail, including a description of the school and the timings of the day, opinions of subjects, school clothes and future plans. Students read the email and complete a comprehension grid with all the information required.

They pick out the questions asked and then adapt an abridged version of the text, changing the words in bold to describe their own school. This could be used to differentiate the task. A tick list of what to include will help structure the writing. This is a great way to support students in developing longer bits of writing. Answers are included.
