Area of polygons using Picks Theorem

Increasingly irregular polygons are shown on a lattice and their areas calculated by firstly splitting them into triangles and rectangles, then by using Picks theorem. It is clear that, as the polygon gets more complicated, Picks theorem becomes by far the simpler method.
