Grouping compound areas
A KS3-4 maths matching activity resource that can be used to review and practise concepts regarding finding the area.
The activity consists of 4 sets of 4 cards covering:
- find the area of shapes made from rectangles
- find the area of shares made from a rectangle and a triangle
- find the area of a circle
- find the shaded area found from a rectangle within a rectangle
Students are asked to group the cards, each group containing one of each shape.

I like this as a consolidate activity - I deleted the circles and put the other 12 shapes onto one page for simpler photocopying/cutting up.
