Negative numbers - daily starter

Great maths starter activities for KS3 or KS4 on negative numbers which can be used to develop fluency in key skills over the course of a topic, or used for recall and retention spread throughout the year. This PowerPoint contains ten daily starter tasks, following the same format

For each negative of the day, students must:

• write it in words
• mark it on a number line
• add and subtract a positive integer
• find values more or less
• multiply it by positive and negative numbers
