Polygons in intersecting circles

A KS4 investigation resource which uses circle theorems to identify and explore the polygons created by joining intersections of systematically arranged circles. The worksheet is divided into sections covering:

• Arranging the circles systematically - students are guided to draw a circle and an inscribed polygon and then draw new circles from the corners of the inscribed polygon. 
• Exploring the polygons - students are asked to find some of the many examples of polygons that can be formed by joining the intersection of the circles and then ask questions about their examples to explore further.
• Hints: structuring your investigation - students are encouraged to devise their own exploration strategies to help follow their lines of enquiry.
