Sample space diagram puzzles

These probability logic puzzles allow students to deepen their understanding of sample space diagrams. The puzzles can be printed onto paper and filled in or completed in the Excel file included.

Each sample space diagram has gaps which students have to fill in, based on the rules given in each question. Some trial and error may be required but this can be approached logically.

If confident with excel, it could be interesting to explore the use of programming using the excel file, or some clever colour coding to speed up the trial and error process.
