Mastering maths – addition and subtraction at KS2

A set of teaching ideas to challenge and extend children's understanding of addition and subtraction at KS2. The activities include games and investigations such as finding which numbers can be written as the sum of two consecutive numbers, adding up diagonal numbers in a 100 square, and creating a shopping list where the letters used to spell the item form its value!
