What is a developmental organiser?
A developmental organiser is a structured learning tool that helps students build connections between key concepts. In this resource, learners physically arrange information about star formation, encouraging deeper understanding of the processes and relationships between different stages of stellar evolution.
How to use this resource
Display the introduction and instructions to your class, then provide students with the appropriate differentiated answer template and cut-out information boxes. Students sort the information into two groups - the stages of star formation and supporting information about particles, energy and forces. They then create a visual representation of the process by arranging the cards on their answer sheet, making it a useful Assessment for Learning tool.
