GCSE English Language
Our GCSE English Language resources have been selected to help you teach unseen fiction and non-fiction texts, descriptive, narrative and persuasive writing, as well as SPaG essentials and spoken English.
The reading skills resources include activities for teaching comprehension, critical analysis, identifying and commenting on structural and language techniques and evaluating writers’ vocabulary. Many have been written specifically for the GCSE and include text extracts from the 19th, 20th or 21st century.
Our writing skills resources include activities to help students produce clear and coherent descriptive or narrative texts, and use language creatively and imaginatively. There are also some excellent teaching ideas and versatile resources for teaching specific text types such as letters, articles, arguments and persuasive writing.
You’ll also find some fantastic speaking and listening tasks for formal speeches and developing students' oracy.
