By learning the key features of simple sentences, compound sentences and complex sentences, students will be able to vary sentences to make their own writing more effective and explore the effects of the different sentences writers use.
Students will also understand the functions of different sentences, including declarative sentences, interrogative sentences, imperative sentences and exclamatory sentences.
