This KS3 activity helps structure individual and group work about photosynthesis. It would make a good introduction to the topic as students research and collaborate to understand and work out the equation for photosynthesis.
There are six information cards for students to use. Each student is given an information card which focuses on one aspect of photosynthesis which they have to summarise and feedback to their group. Each group works together to summarise the information and make connections to produce the equation.
The groups can then feedback to the class.
The class can test their equation by carrying out practical activities such as testing the gas released by Elodea.
