Selective breeding

This KS4 resource examines selective breeding. There are short activities that introduce the reasons for selective breeding, the advantages and disadvantages as well as the process to breed organisms with desired characteristics. The final task asks students to explain how a new breed of dog has been produced using selective breeding.

There are suggestions for ways to differentiate the activities as well as a model answer to help them structure their assessment as well as a self-assessment sheet.
