Creating characters in an instant

A series of creative writing prompt questions using two images as starting points.

The two images feature a person walking on a snowy street and a city splashpark in the summer. The task sheets for each image include questions based on the sensory impressions of a character in the scene and a selection of story starts. Students complete a writing task to develop these ideas into a narrative.

An accompanying word bank features long lists of adjectives and adverbs which students can use in their writing.
