Ma routine matinale

This French PowerPoint will help you teach students to talk about their morning routine, before they go to school. It uses present tense verbs, including reflexive verbs. It includes colourful slides to drill key phrases and times, for example what time you get up, shower, brush your teeth etc.

Six questions about the morning routine are introduced so that students can practise giving answers in French. You could then use the accompanying worksheet, which supports further pair work speaking. It includes a peer assessment grid and optional help sheet for differentiation. As a plenary, revisit the final slides of the PowerPoint to see if students can recall the questions they have used during the lesson. Answers are included in the PowerPoint.
