This atlas quiz makes a great activity for transition sessions, practising atlas skills with your KS3 classes or for some fun at the end of term. Students are tasked with finding A-Z answers to 26 questions which involve finding countries, capital cities, landmarks, flags of the world, US states and more. Students can complete this quiz game individually, with a partner or in teams. Use Teachit timer to add a time limit and an extra challenge!

This geography quiz helps to teach and reinforce important map and atlas skills, while building students’ general knowledge of world geography. Students will need to practise how to navigate an atlas, including using the contents and index pages. Choose from the PowerPoint quiz for a whole-class activity or the printable worksheets (or a combination of both).
