This 'circles' activity is designed for KS5 students to enable them to evaluate the threats to Queen Elizabeth I. Information cards are provided including background on Philip II of Spain's imperialist ambitions, Mary Stuart, excommunication, missionary priests and Catholics. Students read the information and represent the significance of each issue in the form of a labelled circle diagram.
