Pythagorean school versus your school
The mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras founded a school that became famous through all of Ancient Greece. In this fascinating PowerPoint, children discover all about the Pythagorean school - which subjects were taught, who paid for it, what the classroom was like, and what peculiar rules the pupils had to follow! There are prompts for discussion throughout the PowerPoint, encouraging children to compare their own school life to that of the Ancient Greek students. This would provide a wonderful springboard for some independent research into other achievements of Pythagoras' life, or to challenge children to create their own presentation focused on a different Ancient Greek figure.
