A differentiated KS2 resource that asks children to compare the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II to the coronation of King Charles III.
Children are asked to look at the ceremony, the guests, the media coverage and the expenditure. The activity is differentiated to three levels and encourages children to consider the vocabulary they use to describe the two events.
Sample questions from the resource:
Describe what the ceremony was like at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation.
Describe what the ceremony was like at King Charles III’s coronation.
Do these descriptions seem similar or different?
