Survival Adventure - Story ladder
A story ladder Talk for Writing activity to help children to retell part of the book Survival Adventure. First, children must sequence pictures from the story in the correct order and use the story ladder to retell a basic version of the story. Then they use the prompt cards to add details about what the characters said, heard, felt and saw.
This resource includes teaching notes and is ideal for Y2.

Review this resourceI plan to do it as a whole class to start with and then children can explore and invent their own. So in effect the same story base will be written in different styles and genres by the students depending on their interest.
