First and last paragraphs - what comes in between? Creative writing

Students are given the first and last paragraphs from pieces of fiction writing. The tasks take the form of narratives or descriptions.
For each, students could either write the missing middle section or write a brief plan for the missing paragraphs. Students could also select which creative writing task they want to tackle: there are eight to choose from.
These paragraphs could also be used for modelling fiction writing. Suitable for KS3 or as preparation for the GCSE narrative or descriptive writing tasks.

A useful resource to practise writing. Learners often struggle to formulate a beginning and conclusion so having these to begin with will hopefully encourage them to focus on the content of their writing tasks.
