French words and phrases are very much part of the English language too. This fun game involves students describing words for their team to guess, without actually saying the word itself. With 20 words for each team, this activity will expand their vocabulary in both languages!

This resource would make a nice game for a first lesson or for the transition to secondary school. It could also be ideal to use with any class to mark the European Day of Languages.

Have you used this resource?

I love this resource, it's fun and extends students knowledge of English too. I have used this several times with year 9 and 10 classes in particular. It's great for a lesson where for whatever reason not all students are in, or you've finished a topic just before a holiday and want to wait till after to start it. Thank you for creating it. I am using it again tomorrow.
