Comparing two earthquakes

This is a comparison resource for two earthquake events - New Zealand and Haiti. Students carry out a card sort activity and then use the statements to complete table that makes comparisons between the effects and responses to the two earthquakes in these countries of differing levels of development. They must comment on statements making direct comparisons and providing justified explanations for each. The table could be adapted to cover any two contrasting earthquakes.
