Take 10: London, a global city
The revision resources in our Take 10 collection were created to support the Eduqas B GCSE geography specification but may also be applicable to other exam boards. The resources are based on the effective memorisation techniques of dual coding and retrieval practice. They include revision strips of images and questions, revision tips, exam practice questions, and a PowerPoint which can be used flexibly to present the information, to model how to learn it, for a revision starter or plenary, and for peer assessment or self-assessment.
The short animation (downloadable in MP4 format) shows students how to use the revision strips to connect facts into a chain of knowledge.
This resource on the case study of London as one of the world's major cities also includes model answers to the exam-style questions.
