Children read a simple story of how Rome began based on the legend of Romulus and Remus. They then match sentence starters to the correct endings, based on information they retrieve from the text. The activity is differentiated to two levels.
This task is suitable for Y3 and Y4. It would also form a good challenge activity for Y2.
