'Connect four' and hot-seating in role
A hot-seating activity based on the characters in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The resource includes teaching notes, role cards, rules and question cards.
The activity involves students interviewing or being interviewed in role, and includes the added fun element of trying to 'connect four' answers in a row on their grid.
Designed with EAL students in mind, this activity would work well as a pre-reading task with students preparing to study the challenging text – assuming you don't mind giving away some spoilers! Alternatively, it could be used with any class studying the Gothic genre.
