Dragon quest - lateral thinking discussion tasks
A team quest activity built on a mythical adventure narrative which includes lateral thinking discussion tasks and word investigation challenges. Activities include:
- presenting a considered line of argument
- solving and creating a riddle
- discussing a solution to a problem using De Bono's thinking hats
- identifying spelling issues and listing spelling rules
- writing definitions for some advanced vocabulary.
This comprehensive resource would work well as a standalone group project which could last longer than a single lesson, alongside literacy lessons.
