Countdown starter
A short activity for KS3 which works like the number round in Countdown: six smaller and one target number are given. Use the four basic operations as many times as needed and the six smaller numbers at most once to reach the target number.
There are 3 solvable problems on each slide, giving everyone a chance to complete at least one.
Generally, the problems get harder as you go right.
As there are many ways to find the answer, we have not included sample answers. So, you can enjoy the challenge as well!

Thanks for the comment. We decided, in this instance, that there are so many possible answers that sample answers would not be particularly helpful.

Good activity for keeping the class on task in the last 5 mins of the lesson. Some sample answers would be helpful.
