Rounding and estimating
An introduction to rounding, ideal for a KS3 starter and lesson. Starting with real-life examples, such as sports stadiums, travelling distances and house prices, students are encouraged to consider what it means to estimate and to round. They are then asked to round numbers to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand, tenth and hundredth.
