An early KS3 resource which can be used to check basic algebra skills. Questions are given points based on their difficulty, covering collecting like terms, expanding single brackets, substitution and factorising into a single bracket. Students can choose which order they attempt the questions.
It can be particularly effective when used under timed conditions where students have to score as many points as possible.

Review this resourceGreat resource.
I was going through it with my daughter and I believe the answer to question 2 of the three point substitution questions is incorrect:
x=3 and y=-2
2x-3y
2x3-3x-2
6+6=12
In the answers it gives the result as 0
