Materials which melt

A lower KS2 science resource to explore materials and changes in state.

Children consider a bar of chocolate and how it might change on a sunny day. They record the changes as a flow chart and consider if it is a permanent change. 

They use this knowledge and understanding to apply it to a material of their own choice which will also change from a solid to a liquid.
