My end of year reflections (KS1) resource

Designed for children in every year of KS1, this lovely resource supports them to think about how they have developed over the last year inside and outside of school and to focus on their positive achievement outcomes.

The resource enables children to consider their wellbeing and how they have worked proactively on strengthening emotional resilience aspects alongside their academic achievements.

Towards the end, the activities help children to look ahead and think about what they want to concentrate on over the next year and how they want to develop certain sets of skills and qualities that are important to them.

How to use this resource

This personal review writing activity for Key Stage 1 is a fantastic English/PSHE resource for the end of the year. Children are asked a series of questions about the academic year that’s ending and a series of questions about what they expect from next year. Reflections include those about their achievements, their favourite moments and area they would like to develop further.

This resource could be used to dip into over a series of lessons or days and even be used in the last weeks of the year to focus children on how far they have come this year and the exciting year ahead for them.

This editable template could also be used as a prompt for conversation with children in the Early Years.
