The PART Project
The Primary Anti-Racist Teaching (PART) project is a collection of free teaching resources to help educators embed racial literacy into day-to-day activities — without adding to your workload.
The PART project aims to be part of a movement that decolonises the curriculum. They want to improve the experiences of pupils of colour in school and help educators work on breaking the cycle of systematic racism. This is by learning about the history of colonialism, the contributions of BAME people in history, and the challenges they face today.
It is also by diversifying classrooms and ensuring BAME lives are normalised in a range of characters and images.
As well as lesson materials, resources include classroom posters, book lists to diversify school libraries, and guidance for teachers wanting to learn more about race.
The PART project was formed in 2022 and is still growing and building. For updates about new resources being uploaded, you can follow them on Twitter and Instagram @thepartproject.
